Gregory Schoemer | Owner of Cruise Control Driving School, LLC / WI Licensed Instructor

I am Greg Schoemer, Owner of Cruise Control Driving School, LLC. I am a 2007 graduate of South High School in Sheboygan. As a 12-year-old, I began to pursue my passion in fishing and working as a first mate on a local charter service. My skills, abilities, and personable advancements were expanding at a fast rate which landed me a full-time summer job at the age of 13. That job was the start of my passion not only to fish but to work and teach a wide range of individuals on a regular basis. I continued my journey in the fishing industry after high school by obtaining a captain’s license through the United States Coast Guard and a guide and sport trolling license holder through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

I was working year-round on the water and in the field with clients from all over the world. The best part about that job was the personal satisfaction of excited clients that were successful from me showing them how to hunt and fish that particular day and how they applied my teachings into their own adventures. In my early 20s, I wanted to expand my adulthood and purchase a home. In the slower seasons of guiding, I took a seasonal position at Masters Gallery Foods in the warehouse division as a forklift operator/material handler. A freak accident happened that smashed my left foot causing it to be partially amputated. At that point, I decided to give up my full-time fishing career and stick to the warehouse even after the major life-altering injury. In my time at MGF, I was given a wide range of roles and was leaned on to train new employees on forklift and yard semi operation. The training element was my favorite part of the job as it touched my passion to work with and train people on how to be successful.

Early in 2018, Mark Reinemann (Founder), approached me to become the new owner of Cruise Control Driving School! I was thrilled for the opportunity as I’ve always had an entrepreneur mindset and was going to get me back into a role of teaching and training a young, excited group of individuals on a major step in their journey towards adulthood. I am honored to be in this position now and look forward to teaching your child to be a safe, defensive, and responsible driver. I have left my position at MGF to put all my heart and passion into continuing the success of this business and preparing students not only for driving but to be successful in all aspects of life! Thank for visiting our website and we look forward to meeting you and your child!
